Exit Rate
Exit rate is the percentage of visitors who leave a website from a specific, individual webpage, regardless of how many other pages they viewed during that session. Unlike bounce rate (which only measures users who leave after viewing a single page), exit rate measures the final drop-off point of a multi-page journey. Analyzing exit rates is critical for identifying leaks in a content marketing funnel. If a highly optimized “Pricing” page has an 85% exit rate, it indicates a massive UX failure or pricing objection that is actively killing conversions right before the final sale.
Exit Rate Simplified
Exit rate is the percentage of people who leave your entire website from one specific page. If everyone reads your blog, clicks to your pricing page, and then immediately leaves the website, your pricing page has a massive exit rate and needs to be fixed immediately.
