Domain Rating (DR)

Domain Rating (DR) is a metric developed by Ahrefs that shows the strength of a website’s backlink profile compared to the rest of the web, on a scale of 1 to 100. DR focuses purely on link popularity, the quantity and quality of external backlinks pointing to a domain. Because DR is calculated logarithmically, growing a site from DR 20 to 30 is significantly easier than growing from DR 70 to 80. DR is a primary benchmark when evaluating the competitive landscape, and link acquisition campaigns should be specifically designed to close the DR gap between a domain and its market leaders.
