Knowledge Panel
A Knowledge Panel is the massive, highly authoritative information box that appears on the right side of the desktop SERP (or at the top on mobile) when searching for prominent entities, such as famous people, massive corporations, countries, or historical events. The data is pulled directly from Google’s Knowledge Graph, which aggregates verified information from highly trusted sources like Wikipedia, Wikidata, and official government databases. Unlike a Google Business Profile, a Knowledge Panel cannot be directly edited or created via a dashboard; a brand must build massive, undeniable digital PR and secure Wikipedia inclusion to trigger the algorithm to generate one.
Knowledge Panel Simplified
A Knowledge Panel is the big box of facts that shows up on the right side of Google when you search for a famous person or a huge company. You can’t just ask Google to make one for you; you have to be so famous and talked about on the internet that Google automatically creates it.
